Cenovia Cummins, Violin

CENOVIA CUMMINS, violinist, is the concertmaster for the NY Pops, the Little Orchestra Society, and the School of American Ballet Orchestra. She has held chairs on Broadway shows including American Idiot, Beauty and the Beast, Ragtime, Big River, Guys and Dolls, Cry Baby, City of Angels, Fiddler on the Roof, Bonnie and Clyde, Ghost, and many others. She’s backed up music industry greats such as Tony Bennett, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Madonna, Sheryl Crow, James Taylor, Britney Spears, Paul McCartney, Diana Krall, P. Diddy, Rod Stewart, and Michael Jackson, among others. Her violin solos are featured in the major motion pictures “Lovely & Amazing” and “Julie and Julia,” and she is featured in Masterpiece Theater’s “Mystery” series theme. Cenovia is also a composer and performs as a pianist with her jazz quintet, CC and Friends. Some of her classical Duos for Oboe and Violin were featured on the Lich Gate Concert of June 17, 2023, performed by Keve Wilson and Rachel Handman.
