Louise Owen, Violin

Violinist LOUISE OWEN is currently an associate violinist in the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Over the years, she has forged a more diverse musical path than she could have imagined during her studies at the New England Conservatory in Boston. Louise performed annual chamber music concerts with world-renowned pianist Menahem Pressler, toured North America and Europe with Barbra Streisand, and has been the concertmaster for Harry Connick, Jr. since 2011. Favorite Broadway orchestra credits include the smash hit The Producers, and the Lincoln Center productions of South Pacific and The King & I. Louise is a passionate home cook and part-time chocolatier in between gigs. She is nationally recognized for having an extremely rare ability called Highly Superior Autobiographical Memory. Louise has been prominently featured twice on CBS’s “60 Minutes” in “Endless Memory” and its follow-up story “Memory Wizards,” the Emmy-nominated profiles about people with this highly unusual memory.
